Day 169 – As We Show Gratitude, We Become Gratitude

Human beings have this self-defeating propensity to let the bad things in life fill our mental vision and leave no room for the good, no matter how many good things are happening. We fail to notice the lesson learned from the negative experience. Instead, we may revert to a “pity party” as we feel powerless, a victim of circumstances. The easiest way to make our circumstances better and give us a sense of true happiness is by learning to put others well-being above our own, become a more thoughtful and caring person, and develop an attitude of gratitude.

The more you develop the quality of gratitude in your life, you will start feeling grateful even when bad things happen to you, because you will have developed the inner vision to see that good things and bad happenings are nothing but experiences to shape you and make you stronger.

By being grateful to the joyful and beautiful world that we live in, we are able to attract exactly that. And don’t just be grateful for what you have experienced, be grateful for the beautiful things you will experience. Your awareness will expand as you gradually feel more appreciative, happy, energetic and joyful.

In other words, as we show gratitude, we become gratitude.

I’ve had this experience a few times in my life – where it didn’t matter what was happening to me, it didn’t matter what I was thinking or feeling, there was a state of gratitude underneath it all. I wasn’t grateful “for” something. I was just grateful. What an amazing feeling!

As “Dave, The Gratitude Guy”, I am very grateful for so much in my life, as I take nothing for granted. Especially for the love I have for my family and friends, for health and happiness, for the jobs that I am fortunate to have, and to God for allowing me to find my road to true happiness. I also want to say to everyone that despite anything that has taken place in your life so far, you have the ability within your heart to turn any circumstance around. Because the only way to bring better things into your life right now is by being grateful for what you already have. People are growing tired of the gloom and doom scenario and are longing to connect in a more meaningful way.

My vision is clear as I see my gratitude journey growing into something special. I see people lives changing. I see more people living fantastic lives and developing great relationships with the people around them. I see a place for people to learn to let go of their emotions and allow their inner peace to flow through their body. I do believe that if more people were able to have that experience, the world would be a very different place. I invite all those in the gratitude community or those wishing to make a positive difference to join me on this undertaking.

Decide today that you deserve the best life possible. Don’t tell yourself you have to wait until the right moment comes along to be happy. Because tomorrow is never promised. Let’s use the time we have on this planet to support each other, be kind to one another, and most of all feel the empowerment that love and gratitude has on our inner soul as we open up our hearts and mind.

As a proud American, I feel we need to empower America to be a creator of its solutions going forward, especially now during this new challenging, yet very confusing world we are living in.

NOW is the time!

What are you waiting for?
