As I wrote in post 170, “Grateful For Being in Balance”, reading this amazing book by Wayne Dyer has made a difference to helping me remain in an appreciative state.
But I am still asking myself, is this still enough to get through the difficult times. For I know that you become what you think about.
Then a remembered a passage that came into my mind:
When you face a major challenge, be grateful for it.
Not easy, that’s true. Many people will obviously see something difficult as a bad thing. If something goes wrong, it’s a great reason to complain, and even deluge in a self-pity party.
But the bottom line is, that won’t get you anywhere nor will anything improve, and you know it. Why do something that causes more negative energy and serves no purpose whatsoever!
Instead, learn to be grateful for the challenge. For it’s a an opportunity to grow, to learn, to get better at something. This will transform you from a complainer into a positive person who only continues to improve. And you know what? More people will like you better. How sweet is that!
