This is for all you insomniacs out there. If you are having difficulty falling to sleep, instead of counting sheep, try counting your blessings by reciting the ABC’s in your head. Think of a blessing that starts with each letter of the alphabet.
For example: A, I’m grateful for the apple pie I had for dessert. B, I am grateful for the bus being on time this morning, C, I’m grateful for the coupon that saved me money today, D, I’m grateful for… well, you get the idea right? Or, instead of things, think of a person you know who you love or appreciate in some way for each letter (Aunt Alice, Grandpa Bob, your friend Carol, your hair stylist Denise, etc.). Counting your blessings gives your mind something positive to focus on rather than your problems.
Doing this will help you realize how many blessings you really do have, and also help you relax…
