Each day that we are given is a gift. So, we must cherish this gift and give thanks that we have another day to experience the beauty that is life. Yes, we have pressures that mount against us, but take a moment to Give thanks for today! You don’t even have to thank a person … you can thank life itself! Wake up, and greet the day with gratitude. Be thankful you’re alive!
Whether or not things are going the way you want them to go or not, give thanks.

Whether in sickness or in health, give thanks.
Despite all the craziness, turmoil and madness in the world, we also still have love, mercy and goodness, and we should give thanks.

What do you give thanks for?
Here’s a favorite gratitude prayer of mine by the Dalai Lama, who tells us:
“Everyday, think as you wake up, ‘Today I am fortunate to have woken up, I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others as much as I can.’ ”
