Day 304 – Make The Best of What You Have

How is life treating you?

People never answer this question honestly, do they? You ask them, “What’s up?” and they never say, “Oh brother, let me tell you,” and start pouring out their troubles. Because people don’t want to burden others.

But the reality is that many people are suffering in some way. They are dealing with:

  • Job stresses

  • Financial worries and debt

  • Illness, either their own or a family member’s

  • Family problems

  • Loneliness

Life can be hard sometimes. It can be lonely, frustrating, confusing and painful.

But did you know that life is meant to be lived in full abundance, with everything available to you. But most of us never reach this level of life because we fail to remember one thing: Gratitude

Because in order to create conditions for bringing more of what we truly want in life, we must be grateful with whatever we have, good or bad, and make the best use of that. You must make do with what you have and not lament over what you do not have.

Don’t go on waiting for some fanciful future when everything is perfect. This is one of the defects of the mind-always looking for a time when everything will be ideal.

The best time is now to make do with what God has given you, then automatically the supreme wholeness starts giving you more and more, because having done the best that you can with what you already have, you have created conditions for being given more and for receiving more.

Taking whatever we have, taking everything together, we appraise our present situation, our abilities, we must  sit up and see in what way you can make the very best use of yourself, and in the very best use of what you have now in your life.
